The idea behind WhichRace

Good races deserve
to be found.

There’s a brilliant starting line out there for every kind of runner. We’re building a clearer way to find yours.

Big ambitions. Local roots.

The next great race might be
just around the corner.

A village 10K. A club’s annual trail race. An adventure you’ll remember for years. Finding it should feel like the beginning of something, not another search through scattered calendars.

WhichRace brings running events together by location, date, distance and terrain. Our directory reaches around the world, while our work to discover new local events starts across the UK.

Clarity is part of the journey

How the directory comes together.

01

Start with the sources.

We find events through public organiser, running-club and race-calendar pages, alongside submissions from the people putting races on.

02

Make the details useful.

Dates, locations, distances and organiser links come first. New discoveries and material changes are held for review before they reach the directory.

03

Keep the source in sight.

Races can change. A listing update is not a guarantee that every detail is current. Always check the official event page before booking travel or entering.

An honest picture

A growing directory.
A continuing responsibility.

Coverage varies by area, and some older listings may be incomplete or out of date. An organiser badge means the listing has been claimed and verified; it is not an endorsement of the event.

Our discovery system retains source links and observation history so dates, cancellations and repeat editions can be checked. A page disappearing is never enough on its own to mark a race as cancelled.

We check public pages respectfully, follow their access rules and slow down when a source fails. Our crawler identifies itself as WhichRaceBot and does not sign in or bypass blocked pages.

The landscape and running scenes used to introduce the site are original AI-generated illustrations. They don’t depict or endorse individual listed events.
